Rosewood Estate boasts one of the most enviable positions in the Scenic Rim, perched high above the lush hinterland. From this breathtaking vantage point, guests are treated to sweeping big-sky views that stretch all the way to the Gold Coast - a truly unforgettable backdrop for romantic getaways, intimate weddings, and golden hour moments that feel straight out of a dream.
"We set out to create a fresh twist on the classic boho picnic, one that blended garden romance with modern boho flair. Lush greenery and a breathtaking hinterland backdrop brought the vision to life, while our bold palette of burnt orange, berry tones, and golden yellows offered a vibrant alternative to the soft pinks and neutrals dominating the trend.
Elopements have become the go-to choice for couples seeking a stylish and budget-friendly way to say "I do." And while boho picnic styling continues to lead in popularity, we wanted to reimagine it with a more grounded, organic feel that was something fresh, elevated and unforgettable.

highlights: There was this magical moment when Jerome from Bird and Boy Photography, noticed the sky had transformed into a dreamy pink sunset over the hinterland. We all stood there, transfixed and gloried in the moment, then Jerome quickly ushered the models into position, capturing the scene before it vanished. Rosewood Estate holds the most enviable position, perched high above the hinterland with expansive views stretching all the way to the Gold Coast. It was pure MAGIC.

challenges? Our entire shoot was originally outdoors, highlighting the views and greenery of Rosewood Estate, however, Mother Nature had other plans. In true Gold Coast summer fashion the blue, humid, morning sky turned into ominous dark clouds with a thunderstorm crashing our set up. All of our incredible vendors got together as a team and created a plan B for the picnic setting. The porch of the Rosewood Estate House made for such a moody and intimate space and allowed for all of our elements to pop. It was ROMANTIC as hell!!!
We then decided to keep our bar set up as originally planned, under the mystical fairy light tree. We hoped that the storm would eventually pass and our wish was granted. The outdoor shoot was simply breathtaking.
what led you to Rosewood Estate? It is by far one of our favourite venues! The best views of the Gold Coast, the most accommodating owners and what’s not to love about our hinterland.

favourite detail: How we were all able to perfectly work the colour palette into our own elements. Arctic Fox Wedding furniture and styling with the Conk & Co grazing board and florals from Flowers By Ola were just matched perfectly. Then the extra touches, like the epic cake from Cakes by Katie xo, cocktails by Fern Vintage Van and Signs by Signed With Love just nailed the concept and tones!
Our models were another fave detail. Emily and Casey were electric with chemistry and just looked stunning in Jacara Bridal and Black Jacket Suiting.

favourite moment: Oh, when Casey (Groom) shook up the bottle of sparkling wine and accidently aimed it at Yulia (Endless Summer Films). Super funny!!!
My other favourite part about the shoot was the debrief we all had afterwards. It was so cathartic to share our experiences about our "COVID" year and talk about the struggles we’ve all been through, over bubbles and cheese of course...
