Setup by mutual friends in 2014, Steph and Andrew were both invited to pre drinks before the races "We became friends on Facebook but nothing ever happened. For the next 7 years we both saw other people but still had each other on social media and would chat a bit when we were single. In 2020, we both happened to be single again and Andy asked Steph for a lift home from a party." "I had absolutely no idea that Andrew was going to propose. At the end of 2022, I said - I hope Andy proposes next year.. thinking he might at the end of 2023. But a few days before my birthday in February he popped the question. I had no idea he had gone and got the ring while I was at a work meeting.

Out of the blue on a random Wednesday night, I came home from work and Andy told me to come and sit on the bed to chat about something. I went into an instant panic thinking he was about to break up with me. But after some smooth words he ended up pulling out a ring. I hyperventilated for a while but then obviously said yes!" Steph shares.

the venue.

I wanted it to be VERY simple wedding theme. Less is more. The venue was all white and modern. I didn’t want lots of decorations or things on the tables. Just all white with some pops of pinks and our pink neon sign. The bridal party were in champagne coloured dresses and the groomsmen were in a natural beige colour. The flowers were bright and colourful and the pink signage was the focus.

Our reception was AMAZING. We had an awesome DJ who made sure the dance floor was pumping all night. Everyone danced the entire night and had so much fun.

highlight.

Our entrance into the reception was so fun. We had a remix of Be My Lover and we walked in as the bass dropped. The entire room went crazy, waving their napkins in the air, screaming and dancing. Andy did the moonwalk and then we held hands and went and sat down. It was so fun!

the details.

At the last minute, I changed my bouquets from natural dried out flowers to bright coloured fresh flowers and they looked absolutely incredible. I had in my head what I wanted and my sister in law made them for me and they looked even better than what I envisioned. Everything else was white and subtle so the pop of colour was so nice.

marriage means...

For us, it is the start of our next chapter. We have always been committed to each other. But growing up I always wanted to get married and have a life with my person. So it’s like my dream coming true and the beginning of what we are going to build together.
