Shanamae & Nick marrying in a serene wedding ceremony nestled in the heart of
Burbrook Forest in Kuitpo, captured by South Australia based Wedding photographer
Jacob Jennings Photography.
Surrounded by nature, Shanamae & Nick exchange their vows amongst the sounds of the forest, the laughter and joy echo through the trees, creating a magical, intimate celebration that feels both timeless and deeply connected.

"We met via the wonderful world of Tinder - we spent our first date at the Shifty Lizard Brewery in Willunga. We played Jenga, Shanamae won and this led to a yearly tradition of going to the shifty and playing a game of Jenga. Shanamae has won x3, and Nick x2 so far! The funniest story of this first date, we continued on at my place (not for any funny business), but had a few beers and a chat which eventually led to our first kiss - Nick truly took my breath away and I fainted mid kiss - poor bloke was standing over me as I laid on the floor as I came back to it.. not sure why that didn't scare him off haha...
the proposal
It was Valentines Day 2022, we went to Coriole Winery for a degustation long lunch. We finished lunch, and went into the courtyard for some cheeky bubbles - Nick 'pretended' to take a photo but actually filmed his proposal (which I didn't expect). It was perfect!
the venue
It was all perfect. The location was picturesque and exactly what we wanted. Our vendors were amazing (espescially our photographer and videographer). I can't personally say I had a chance to eat much but the food was said to be good.. it was all just incredible and a really fun wedding. We also had an amazing celebrant/MC - she was AMAZING. I wanted the rustic, Forest vibes and I think our chosen colour pallet really complimented our scenery. It was the exact vibe we were going for and the photos speak for themselves
Burbrook Forest is a remarkable space for weddings and is home to 'THE TREE'. Just a 40 minute drive from Adelaide, to honour our forest's history and to preserve its natural state, the family property strive to be a sustainable venue. "We aim to minimise our impact on the forest and the greater Kuitpo region for the benefit of generations to come."

"That first moment of seeing Nick as I walked the aisle was a favourite - Everything else melted away and all I could concentrate on was his eyes! I later foudn out, Nick had taken singing lessons and sang our song to me just before our first dance at the reception! It's
Amazed by Lonestar. It was an incredible gesture and really captured who he is." Shanamae shares.
suit shopping experience
We were on the hunt for a perfect green colour suit which was proving difficult online. We thought we would try a few stores in person so we went to
Gerry's Suit Hire and VOILA! we found the perfect green shade that was so incredible and complimented each of the grooms party so well.
what does marriage mean to you?
It means finding a love, and choosing to stick with that love. Always fighting for what it represents - Nick and I truly are soul mates, our values, our world views and desires are all in sync. Marriage just felt right for us.
