The latest Bo & Luca Bridal collection - The Gardener's Journal is a story of a gardener's perennial love and devotion to their bride. We envision them tending to their flowers each day, hand-picking the most perfect bloom to gift her for the pages of her journal. Each piece represents one of her treasured flowers - the silhouettes and adornments are guided by nature.
Here are The Aisle's Top 7:
The Dandelion Gown is divinely elegant. Inspired by the Manhattan and Angelica gowns, this fully beaded piece is a true showstopper. Silk chiffon is hand-embroidered with an ethereal design of branching dandelions in shades of soft ivory and pale silver, rendered in glass beads and sequins. Hand-cut chiffon petals are carefully frayed, and accented with faceted crystals.
The degradé placement creates the impression of falling flowers. The front features a sweetheart lining, and the back and sleeves are sheer. A narrow band encircles the waist and the open back and scalloped sleeves are delicately edged with a border of beads. A single silk-covered button closes the back neck. The full godet skirt spreads out from the hip into a regal train, closing with an invisible zip at the centre back.
IRIS GOWN & CAPE
The
Iris Gown is understated perfection. The fitted bodice has a plunging neckline and softly draped shoulder. The waist is accentuated with
geometric cutouts. The mock wrap fit and flare skirt has asymmetric draping and ends in a regal train.
The closure is an invisible zip at the centre back. The beaded cape is detachable and falls in a soft cowl at the back waist. It is adorned with a celestial motif of scattered stars, hand-embroidered with faceted crystals and bugle beads, and accented with moonstones.
The Iris Gown can be purchased on its own or with the Iris Cape.
The Poppy Tiered Skirt is inspired by the Nina Gown. Unadorned but for the narrow border of sequined flowers encircling the waist, this full A-line skirt is crafted from pure silk georgette. Romantic gathered tiers end in an elegant train. The skirt is closed by an invisible zip at the centre back.
SITAARA WRAP GOWN
The
Sitaara Gown is sublimely elegant. The full bishop sleeves are hand-beaded with a falling celestial motif, rendered in faceted crystals and bugle beads, and accented with moonstones. The cuffs feature a striking border of tiny stars edged with bugle beads and closed with silk-covered buttons. A soft blouson waist is gathered to a narrow waistband. The front bodice is lined and the sleeves and back bodice are sheer. A full A-line skirt falls into a regal train. The wrap is secured with a concealed button and loop at the side seam and closed with fine ties, finished with handmade silk petals.
The
Blossom Gown embodies understated elegance. Inspired by our Rose Gown, the geometric lines accentuate the waist. Pure silk chiffon is hand-embroidered at the waist and sleeves with a delicate motif of branching cherry blossoms.
Rendered in glass beads, leaf-shaped sequins and hand-pleated chiffon flowers accented with moonstones. An illusion tulle keyhole at the front is edged with a border of beads that also outline the open back. A single silk-covered button closes the back neck.
The full A-line skirt ends in a graceful train, closing with an invisible zip at the centre back.
The
Zinnia Gown is inspired by the Clara Gown and exudes refined elegance. An ethereal design of branching dandelions is suspended on a tulle overlay. Shades of soft ivory and pale silver are rendered in glass beads and sequins. Hand-cut chiffon petals are carefully frayed, and accented with faceted crystals.
The tulle is lightly gathered at the front to silk straps that meet at the centre back, and the fitted waist joins a circular peplum that undulates gently over the hip. The skirt is fitted to the hip and then flares out to the floor, where it falls into a modest train. The plunging v-neck is echoed by a deep, open back where the dress is fastened by an invisible zip.
POPPY - Basque Skirt
The Poppy Gown is an exquisite couture two-piece. Pure silk chiffon is finely hand-embroidered with an intricate design of unfurling poppies, in shades of soft ivory and pale silver, rendered in glass beads, silk thread and hand-pleated tulle flowers, illuminated with tiny, scattered sequins. The straps are embellished with a delicate repeat of miniature poppies bordered with sequins and beads. The bodice edge and hem are edged with fine rows of beads and sequins. Slightly cropped, the Poppy Top reveals a sliver of skin at the waist. A back closure of hooks and eyes is concealed with a row of small silk-covered buttons.
The Poppy Basque Skirt is embroidered to the hip with the same motif, and the waistband is finished with a narrow border of sequined flowers. A circular flounce spreads out from the basque, forming a regal train. The skirt is closed by an invisible zip at the centre back.
