Welcome to David & Alyce's Refined Wynmère Wedding Day

There’s something undeniably magical about a Wedding that seamlessly blends modern minimalism with timeless romance and that magic is exactly what unfolded at the unforgettable celebration of this stunning couple at the iconic Wynmère.

Alyce & David were setup to meet through a mutual friend, (Cupid strikes again!) "We both happened to be moving back to Sydney at the same time. We immediately hit it off and then got plunged into lockdown together and we inseperable ever since."

We are thrilled to share every moment and detail of their stunning Wedding day celebration, artfully documented by #1 voted photographer in Tweed/Byron Bay - Sean Reefman with second shooter Ignacio Ravelo.

The Proposal. With an early morning drive to Stanwell Tops planned south of Sydney, regularly taking early drives on weekends so nothing was out of the usual in terms of Alyce's suspicions. David was trying to take a photo of Alyce with his 35mm film camera with a great view in the background and told her to look out to the view with her back to him for the photo.

When she turned around David was on one knee with the ring in his hands - a complete shock and so overwhelmed and happy. "We then finished off with a day of fun activities, a special dinner planned and a flight to Brisbane the next morning to celebrate with our families."

"It was super important to us both to have our closest group of friends and family there for the day and were focussed on creating an intimate vibe with only 50 guests. We were both in agreeance that we wanted styling to be beautiful, simple and classic and as it was a Winter Wedding went for classic white florals with pops of rich burgundy, plenty of candles (and heaters), and a lovely violin and cello strings duo for the ceremony that played classical renditions of our favourite songs."

Their Ceremony was framed by towering floral installations bursting with creamy white blooms, rich burgundy accents and lush greenery, as Alyce & David stand hand in hand beneath the soft glow of natural light filtering through the glass-paned ceiling.

The raw concrete walls of Wynmère indoor Ceremony space provided a strikingly beautiful contrast to the elegance of the day, creating a dreamy fusion of industrial chic and refined sophistication. With infectious smiles and laughter, their Wedding ceremony was one of their favourite moments, filled with so much heart and love and lots of laughter.

"It was the best just looking into each others eyes and saying our vows."

How did you come to choose Wynmère? "We always wanted a destination wedding but due to some unforeseen illness with close family. we shifted our Wedding closer to home in Brisbane. The Gold Coast hinterland was perfect for us as it had a 'destination' vibe while being close to home. We had viewed Wynmère prior and absolutely loved everything about it, so when our circumstances changed we knew it was the perfect place for us."

What advice would you offer to other couples' during their planning process? "Make sure there is a good wet weather option - seriously! The forecast looked perfect for our day then after a sunny morning it decided to pour right on ceremony time so into the wet weather backup we went.

While we didn't think much of wet weather options when choosing our venue we were super lucky that the one at Wynmère was absolutely gorgeous and we wouldn't have had our day any other way. Also don't stress in the lead up or on the day, we were both suprisingly calm on the day and we feel like we enjoyed it so much!

Everything will fall into place or figure itself out and as long as you leave the day married then you've achieved what you set out to do!"

Alyce embodied timeless elegance in a structured satin Made With Love gown with a dramatic train and flowing veil, her soft waves adding effortless glam.  David looked equally refined in a classic black tuxedo, elevated with a personal touch in his boutonnière. Their vow exchange was intimate and emotional, transforming the back-up wet weather space into a moment that felt both grand and euphoric.  Every detail, from the florals to Wynmere’s architectural textures, reflected a love that’s both classic and modern.

What's next for you two?

"We just moved into a new home, so for us it’s all about redecorating at the moment and spending time with our friends and family. We absolutely love to travel and are always planning the next holiday, so we're seeing how many trips we can do for the next year under the guise of 'honeymoon 2.0'."
