Journey back in time to 1919 when a visionary named Dr. Roviralta, captivated by the rugged beauty of the Costa Brava, embarked on a mission to create his dream garden and residence.
Inspired by the Renaissance masterpieces of Villa d'Este in Tivoli, Italy, Dr. Roviralta meticulously transformed the landscape into a harmonious blend of lush greenery, captivating sculptures, and an elegant Italianate villa. Over time, Dr. Roviralta has created a masterpiece and 1933, the estate became formalised under the title “Marquis of Santa Clotilde,” a noble distinction later granted by the Pope in honour of his social contributions.

Every corner of the grounds reflects his refined aesthetic: the house itself is Italian-influenced, made to face the sea with large windows and open views, while the gardens are filled with neoclassical sculptures that Dr. Roviralta collected on his European travels. Today, the Roviralta family continues to preserve this vision, maintaining the property’s original design and elegance.
