Set against the lush surrounds of Plantation House, Georgi and Joe’s wedding was a beautifully considered celebration that blended timeless romance with modern, personality-filled touches. From the very beginning, the day was thoughtfully curated—bringing together refined styling, meaningful details, and an atmosphere that felt both elevated and effortlessly relaxed.
With a clear vision in mind, Georgi led the creative direction, working alongside House of Harvey Co to bring their styling to life, while Flor Lane Creative delivered soft, romantic florals that perfectly complemented the venue’s natural beauty. The result was a cohesive and elegant setting that flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception.
Captured with intention and artistry by Brontรซ McVeigh, alongside second shooter Renue Studio, every moment—from quiet, emotional exchanges to the high-energy dance floor—was documented with a timeless, editorial feel.
Georgi wore a stunning gown by Ella Moda, embodying modern bridal elegance, while Joe’s look was elevated with meaningful details, including their wedding bands by Natasha Schweitzer.
Their ceremony, led by Clarah - Best Celebrant Ever, was heartfelt and deeply personal—setting the tone for a day centred around connection, love, and shared history.
Hosted at Fins at Plantation House, the celebration unfolded across the venue’s beautiful spaces, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
As the evening progressed, the atmosphere shifted into celebration mode, with thoughtful touches (including Joe’s must-have disco balls) bringing a sense of fun and energy to the night.
From beginning to end, Georgi and Joe’s wedding was a true reflection of their journey—intentional, stylish, and filled with genuine moments that spoke to a love nearly a decade in the making.
Georgi and Joe’s story began in 2016 at a mutual friend’s 18th birthday party. Despite growing up nearby and sharing a wide circle of friends, their paths had never quite crossed—until that night. It was one of those serendipitous moments where everything simply fell into place.
Nearly nine years later, after building a life together that included buying and renovating their first home and welcoming a puppy, Joe proposed. In a moment that felt entirely true to them, he got down on one knee in their newly finished kitchen—completely speechless, but full of meaning. It was simple, heartfelt, and perfectly them.
When it came to choosing their venue, it was love at first sight. Plantation House was the very first location they visited, and they instantly knew it was where they wanted to say “I do.” Drawn to its beautiful spaces, farm-to-table dining experience, and the opportunity to celebrate with loved ones all weekend, it ticked every box. With the support of the Botanica team, the entire planning process felt seamless and considered.
As planning progressed, the couple found themselves embracing more and more detail. Georgi focused on creating a refined and cohesive aesthetic through florals, styling, and her bridal looks, while Joe had a clear vision of his own—live violin music and disco balls were non-negotiables.
Fashion played a special role in the day. Georgi initially planned to wear a Rebecca Vallance gown, but as the wedding approached, she chose a more traditional first look with a gown from Ella Moda, saving her Rebecca Vallance dress for later in the celebration.
Joe wore a tailored suit by M.J. Bale, complete with personalised cufflinks engraved with “G” and “J.” In a particularly meaningful touch, Georgi’s mother created a custom handkerchief for Joe using delicate laser-cut flowers from Georgi’s dress.
What Marriage Means For Georgi and Joe, marriage is beautifully clear—getting to spend every day with your best friend.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came during their vows. Both had been quietly nervous, but as they listened to each other speak, they realised just how aligned they truly were. Their words mirrored one another in the most heartfelt way.
When it comes to wedding planning advice, their biggest takeaway is clear: organisation is everything. Georgi’s meticulous approach ensured the day unfolded effortlessly, proving that the time and care invested behind the scenes is always worth it.
